MANY of the famous Dunkirk Little Ships attended a commemorative rally at Chatham Maritime on the Medway this weekend. A GERMAN frigate arrived in London this morning for a five day visit. The visit by the Bremen-class FGS NIEDERSACHSEN comes days after the visit by a German minesweeper squadron. THE GERMAN minesweeper squadron that visited London over the weekend has now departed the capital. The visiting contingent included four Ensdorf-class Minesweeper vessels, four Seehund remotely controlled drone ships, the Elbe-class tender Mosel (pictured above) and Ammersee, a coastal tanker. AN ARRAY of German naval vessels have arrived at London’s West India Dock for a port visit. The armada of German hardware  includes three Ensdorf-class minesweepers: SIEGBURG, AUERBACH/OBERPFALZ and HAMELN. ARCHER-class patrol vessel HMS TRUMPETER was inbound this morning, passing cruise ship MARCO POLO at the Tilbury landing stage. TRUMPETER came in with sister vessel HMS SMITER and passed outbound HMS PUNCHER in the estuary. The two inbound vessels were heading for the Royal Naval reservists base HMS President which is where PUNCHER had departed from earlier in the morning.
